Happy belated Earth Day everyone!
I am in Zurich for the week visiting my aunt and uncle (and two adorable baby cousins) and I have to say, it is the most magical place. It really is a bubble of complete perfection: everywhere you look, there are green trees, blooming tulips, incredible architecture and smiling blue-eyed gorgeous people! Unreal, really.
Yesterday, I took the tram from my aunt and uncle's house into the city at 8:00 am! I wanted to get exploring as soon as possible, but it turns out the museums open until 10:00 or 11:00 so I sat in Starbucks, drank some coffee, and wrote for an hour. Later, I went to Kunsthaus, a very large and very beautiful art museum, where there was an Impressionistic exposition, full of Monets, Cezannes, Mondrians and many more. I later went into several small art galleries and boutiques, all gorgeous and unique in their own way. I crossed the bridge, ate a pumpkin-seed covered pretzel and tanned a little at the edge of the river.
After a long day of touristy activities, I returned home and a delicious pasta dinner was waiting for me! Gosh I missed sending time with family. It was a great day.
