Today was another beautiful, sunny day here in Zurich. I got up early, left for the city, had my daily dose of Starbucks and then began my tour. My first stop was the Police Station, where I saw the famous Giacometti murals and was mesmerized by just how colorful, complex and magical they are. They are like nothing I have ever seen before, and I could look at them for ages.
I later strolled through the grass around the boutique area eating a very odd Swiss hotdog. It was inside an actual piece of bread, and swimming in ketchup and mustard, but it was still delicious!
After a few hours walking under the insanely hot Swiss sun, I decided to return home and help with dinner. My aunt, uncle, little cousins and I made homemade pizza with fresh mozzarella, arugula and prosciutto. We had dark red wine and a bowl of sweet strawberries with cream for dessert. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
